No, we haven’t dropped off the face of the planet! We were in Colorado for almost two weeks, and it’s going to take me almost as long to recover! We went with our best friends, the Dupps (who are really more like family than good friends), and we had a BLAST! Every day was filled with some sort of really fun adventure. We stayed in Grand Lake (which is adorable), played Rotary Club Bingo (Meghan won $4!), hiked in Rocky Mt. Nat’l Park, rented a pontoon boat for 4 hours, played at Winter Park ski resort, hiked some more, and treasured every second with our dear friends.
And yes, this is SNOW! We drove Trail Ridge Road, which is a 40+ mile scenic drive from Grand Lake to Estes Park, and part of it goes through the alpine tundra above the tree line. I think playing in the snow was the highlight of the week for the kids!
There’s way too much to tell in my little blog. We had such a great time. We rolled back into town at 1:30 a.m. on Friday. Leaving our friends was a little easier knowing that the kids and I are going to fly to Cleveland in less than 2 weeks to spend 10 days at their house!
