Josh Groban’s new Christmas CD. Oh my. Oh my my my my.

And I can say that and lust after his rich, chocolaty baritone because my dear sweet husband bought the CD for me, started a fire in the fireplace, and we snuggled up together to listen to all of Josh’s yumminess.

Let us not overlook the fact that I am listening to Christmas music!! Seriously, last year, I didn’t listen to a single Christmas CD because I just couldn’t stomach it. Didn’t I tell you how miserable I was and how much I hated the holidays? But not this year! I am listening to Christmas music! Even on the radio! And singing along!

I am not at all stressed by the looming, inevitable, undetermined Secret Santa gifts, the class parties, the last-minute “please send ____ to school tomorrow.” No, I’m not. Because I have finished my Christmas shopping, and I have FOUR Christmas yummies in my freezer.

Speaking of yummies, I have to share this very easy, very yummy recipe that I have made and will serve/give this holiday season.

EASY OREO TRUFFLES (from Kraft Food & Family)

1 pkg. (1 lb., 2 oz.) OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided

1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

2 pkg. (8 oz. each) BAKER’S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted

Crush 9 of the cookies to fine crumbs in food processor; reserve for later use. (Cookies can also be finely crushed in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin.) Crush remaining 36 cookies to fine crumbs; place in medium bowl. Add cream cheese; mix until well blended. Roll cookie mixture into 42 balls, about 1-inch in diameter.

Dip balls in chocolate; place on wax paper-covered baking sheet. (Any leftover chocolate can be stored at room temperature for another use.) Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.

Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Store leftover truffles, covered, in refrigerator.

Kraft Kitchen Tip:

How to How to Easily Dip Truffles

Place truffle ball in melted chocolate to coat; roll if necessary. Lift truffle from chocolate using 2 forks (this will allow excess chocolate to run off) before placing on wax paper.

Prep Time: 30 min
Total Time: 1 hr 30 min
Makes: 3-1/2 doz. or 42 servings, one truffle each

Ho Ho Ho!

  1. Can’t wait to get that CD … does anyone have a better voice than his? And I have to try those truffles. Think I clipped that recipe a while back and never tried it … it looks great! And look … still no twitches! 🙂

what do you think?
