Open Letter to a Dallas Police Officer With Nothing Better To Do

Dear Mr. Policeman,

You suck.

I mean seriously. As I explained to you, I did not see the car going straight as I was turning left at a green light. Yes, I agree, I did almost cause an accident. Almost. But I didn’t. I truly, honestly did not see that car until I was turning.

Don’t you think in this incident a warning would suffice? A warning – by definition – would say “you need to be careful!” But no. You had to slap me with a TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR TICKET.

Like I said, you suck.

Do you like having a job where your purpose is not so much to protect our citizens as it is to p**s them off?

I hope you go home tonight and stub your toe on something that you didn’t see until it was too late. (I don’t want you to break your toe or get gangrene or anything – that would just be mean. Just a minor, sharp pain will do.)

Most sincerely,

A $200-poorer citizen…who, by the way, is an excellent driver

  1. What is the deal with the horrible luck with police! Seriously, are they looking to take down the Mom-faction? Don’t you drive a mini-van??? You are so sweet- who could give a ticket to you???It was SO fun to see you too- what a treat!

  2. UGH! Matt and I always get so mad when we see cops just sitting there with their little radar guns. I mean, c’mon! If someone is blazing by at 100 mph and is a danger, then PLEASE give them a ticket, but if I am going 5 mph over the speed limit, LAY OFF! Grrrr…I am always tempted to “give them the bird”! :)Sorry about your bad experience. That sucks!

what do you think?
